At the practice of Melbourne Eye Surgeons we provide a range of ophthalmic services for adults.

Our friendly and well qualified staff uses state-of-the-art equipment to deliver a range of services including extensive eye health checks, early detection and care of eye conditions, surgical procedures as determined at the time of appointment, cataract surgery, detection and treatment of squints and chalazion. Dr. Wendy Marshman is a leading registered injector for blepharospasm.

All work is under the expert and caring guidance of Dr Wendy Marshman MB BS, MD, FRANZCO, who brings to bear her extensive experience from private practice, the Royal Children¹s Hospital and Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital Melbourne, Moorfield's Eye Hospital London and
BC Children's Hospital Vancouver.

Our staff will offer the next available appointment time (this should be no more than one week's wait).


Surgical Procedures

Dr Marshman organizes elective surgery well in advance and in many cases, this is performed on a day stay basis. Please notify this office immediately of any change in plans or circumstances which may affect your surgery.

Dr. Robin Meusemann is a general Ophthalmolologist whose interests are cataract surgery(particularly toric lenses for correction of astigmatism) and anterior segment pathology but she also performs aviation medical ophthalmic examinations, Intra-vitreal injections forMacular Degeneration, and is a registered to injector for neuro-ophthalmic patients with blepharospasm.

Dr. Robin Meusemann operates privates at:

Dr Zelda Pick is an Ophthalmologist and Oculoplastic  Surgeon. She specialises in diseases of the eyelids, lacrimal system and orbit, as well as general eye conditions such as cataract, glaucoma and pterygium.

Dr Pick  graduated from the University of Otago Medical School in New Zealand in 2004, and completed her general ophthalmology training in New Zealand.  She moved to Melbourne in 2013 to sub-specialise in oculoplastic surgery at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.   She is a consultant at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and at Melbourne Eye Surgeons in Malvern.

Her particular areas of interest are eyelid surgery including ptosis, entropion and ectropion, surgery for eyelid skin cancers, and lacrimal surgery for epiphora.

Dr. Christolyn Raj completed her medical training with Honors at The University of Sydney and subsequent residency at St Vincent’s Hospital and The Royal Melbourne hospital. She embarked on Ophthalmology training at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, Melbourne before completing a fellowship in General and  Paediatric Ophthalmology at Western General Hospital and the Royal  Children’s Hospital,  Melbourne.  Her sub-speciality interests include paediatric and adult strabismus, paediatric ophthalmology, oculoplastics , medical retina and cataract surgery.

Do I need a referral?

If you would like to receive a Medicare rebate you need a current and valid referral from your general practitioner, specialist or optometrist. You will need to bring the referral with you to your appointment or the referral can be faxed to us on 9804 3828.  Specialist referrals are valid for 3 months and referrals from your general practitioner or optometrist are valid for 12 months.


How much will my appointment cost?

The cost of your appointment and resulting rebate can be discussed with you on the day of your appointment.    Dr. Wendy Marshman now offers online claiming for patient convenience.


Where do I park?

For your convenience free parking is available on Milton Parade for 1 and 2 hours. For most appointments this timeframe should be ample.  There are also a limited number of parking bays available under the building (Level 2 and marked "Melbourne Eye Surgeons") however, please note that there is no lift access from these parks. A ramp is available for prams and wheelchairs at the Milton Parade entry.  There is ½ hour parking directly in front of the building which can be used as a drop off/pick up point.


Will I need surgery?

This will be discussed with you at the time of your consultation.


What will my surgery cost?

If you require surgery the resulting costs and rebates will be discussed with you on the day of your consultation.
